1. Differential Settlement : 부등침하
Ex) The differential settlement of weak soil layers shall be prevented.
2. Earthwork : 토공
Ex) Earthwork is to be conducted prior to concrete placement.
3. Schedules : 일람표
일종의 Table(표)이라고 이해하시면 되겠습니다. 우리가 흔히 생각하는 공정표는 "Programme"이라 합니다.
Ex) Schedules may include the Bill of Quantities, data, lists, and schedules of rates and/or prices.
4. Programme : 공정표
일반적으로 일단 LOA를 받게 되면 세부 공정표를 제출하게 되어있는데 공사여건을 감안해 전략적으로 작성하여 제출해야 합니다.
Ex) The Contractor shall also submit a revised programme whenever the previous programme is inconsistent with actual progress.
5. Priority of Documents : 문서의 우선순위
계약서 해석의 상충을 막기위해, 문서의 우선순위를 정해 놓은 것을 말합니다.
Ex) For the purposes of interpretation, the priority of the documents shall be in accordance with the Contract.
6. Maintain : 1) 주장하다 2) 지속하다
Synonym(동의어) : 1) affirm, contend, claim 2) sustain, preserve, continue, keep
Ex) Some participants maintained that their present situation was worse than before.
7. Monitor : 조사하다
Synonym(동의어) : check, examine, inspect
Ex) The U.S. Department of Agriculture monitors food safety.
8. Outbreak : 1) 만연, 창궐 2) 폭발
Synonym(동의어) : 1) epidemic 2) eruption, explosion, burst
Ex) The outbreak of violence was a sure sign of what was to come.
9. Periodically : 주기적으로
Synonym(동의어) : at intervals, regularly
Ex) The fire alarms are tested periodically to ensure they are working properly.
10. Release : 1) 해방시키다 2) 뿜다, 방출하다 3) 풀다
Synonym(동의어) : 1) free, liberate, loose 2) emit, give off, discharge 3) loosen, untie, unfasten
Ex) The first-aid worker released the tourniquet slowly after the bleeding had stopped.
